Quite literally as I write this post, my cousin and his wife are just meeting their adopted son for the first time. He was born a few days ago with something called Congenital CMV. Doctors aren’t sure how severe his symptoms will be. He will most certainly require special attention for much of his life. But instead of abortion, his mother chose adoption and now this little child with special needs has a bright future with a family that loves him. But he is one of the lucky ones.
Today marked the 40th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade and during that 40 years, Americans have aborted 55,000,000 babies. Fifty-five million. It’s breathtaking. Let’s put that number into perspective. If these Americans were a country, it would be the 24th largest country in the world (top 10 percentile). Here is the number of Americans who have been aborted in the last 40 years as compared to the total populations of a few other places:
The United States of America has killed more people via abortion than the total populations of the bottom 104 countries combined.
This is a travesty. It’s unthinkable. And we have an entire political party devoted to celebrating it. God help us.
