Obama forgets Benghazi: “Al Qaeda is decimated”

Today, speaking in Wisconsin, President Obama repeated the outlandish claim that “Al Qaeda is decimated.”  In the shadow of the Benghazi terrorist attack, this kind of statement is unconscionable.

from the Blaze:

The president made the ire-inducing remark during a campaign stop at Austin Straubel International Airport Thursday morning where he spoke to a crowd of some 2,600 people. Obama, wearing a flight-jacket, addressed Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, then touched on the economy but  highlighted what he framed as his accomplishments in foreign policy, including smiting Osama bin Laden and yes, “decimating al Qaeda.”

“The war in Afghanistan is winding down,” the president said. “al Qaeda has been decimated. Osama bin Laden is dead. So we made real progress these last four years, but Wisconsin, we know our work’s not done yet.”

For the President to make this claim just weeks after our ambassador and three other Americans were killed by Al Qaeda militants in Benghazi is dishonest and incredibly calloused towards the families of those who lost their loved ones.

Since the Benghazi attack on 9-11, President Obama has claimed Al Qaeda’s demise at least 32 separate times.  Either he’s being intentionally dishonest to boost his election chances, or hes completely clueless and has no business business being Commander in Chief.
