Five-Year-Old girl suspended for ‘terroristic threat’…after playing with her pink bubble gun

We recently reported on kids being suspended from school for making finger guns. Well, let me offer my congratulations to a Mount Carmel school in Pennsylvania for officially being even more ridiculous. A 5-year-old girl has been suspended because of what her school called a “terroristic threat” involving a pink Hello Kitty bubble gun.

From The Daily Item:

A 5-year-old kindergartner who told classmates she was going to shoot them, and then herself, with her pink bubble gun, was grilled for three hours by Mount Carmel school officials without her mother’s knowledge, then suspended, a family attorney said.

The girl was initially kicked out for 10 days in what the school categorized as a “terroristic threat,” according to the kindergartner’s mother and confirmed by the family attorney. That suspension was reduced to two days and labeled as a “threat to harm others.”

Their names are being withheld to protect the girl’s identity.

Mount Carmel Superintendent Bernard Stellar on Thursday declined comment, saying it would be a breach of confidence and that he cannot discuss student discipline issues.

Terroristic threat? You’ve GOT to be kidding me. She’s five. FIVE. When you’re five and you’re bad, you’re said to be disobedient or a brat. I’ve never heard a five year old, small-town Pennsylvania girl called a terrorist. And besides, aren’t liberals the ones who refuse to call actual terrorists, terrorists?

But all that is secondary to the fact that this is another perfect example of how the PC police over react to everything that relates to guns.
