Farewell Constitution

Amazingly, the dems have ignored (literally) every recent poll regarding their takeover of one sixth of the economy. They have ignored the common sense. And, most importantly, they have completely ignored the Constitution. Article I, Section 2 clearly states that all taxes shall be apportioned to states "according to their respective numbers." In other words, it is unconstitutional for Nebraska, Louisiana or any other state to pay less than their fair share. These sweetheart deals make this happen. Furthermore, where in the Constitution is the Federal government given the right to mandate that, in order to be a citizen, one must purchase something? The arrogance of this administration and senate is worse than any before them. And that's saying something.

CALL CALL CALL

Call your senator now and tell them to vote no on the health-care-takeover bill. Jam the phones.
202-224-3121
If it's busy, call again. And again. And again.

Not Too Late to Kill the Bill

The bad news: the libs have bribed enough senators to get the 60 votes they need to cram a liberty killing health care takeover down our throats.

The good news: It's not too late to stop it. Go Doctors.

But don't worry, even if it passes, it's full of great benefits for everyone like the funding of ACORN and all sorts of new taxes.

And if you oppose it like 61% of the country, you're part of a "lunatic fringe"
LOL

Ben "the Coward" Nelson Caves

I guess I'm not surprised, but just like every other "moderate" democrat, Ben Nelson, the formerly great senator from Nebraska has stood on his principles today. One of those principles being: "I'm totally against abortion and the Federal funding of it...unless you give me a lot of money." I guess this is how they do it in Chicago. There are so many evil things about a bribe like this. They bribe a Senator with my money to get a bill that I don't want. They will feel the repercussions of this at the polls if Republicans promise to repeal it. Pray for our country.
The story
A great take

Nopenhagen

Except for those quoting Obama, virtually every headline in the past 12 hours has described Copenhagen as an epic failure. Well I beg to differ. An ultimate failure by one man's definition is often the ultimate success for his opponent. Friday's joke of an agreement is non-binding, completely negotiable and does as much to reduce so-called greenhouse gas emissions as a hammer (What can you expect from a group of privileged elite being rushed out of their global warming meeting to their carbon-factory limos and private jets so they can avoid the ensuing blizzard?--but I digress). Which means that we won. Perhaps it was that the weather outside was frightful. Perhaps it was the new wave of skepticism brought on by climategate. Perhaps it was that the US knew going in that any agreement signed would be unconstitutional. Who knows? Regardless of the reason, Copenhagen was, in my book, an utter success.
About Obamacare...
Even though the Daily Kooks and Move On are opposing it
And the unions are now against it
And the Repubs will make the Dems read the bill. Out Loud. 3 Times.
And only 34% think Obamacare would be better than nothing
There are plenty more reasons for the dems to let this one go: Like the fact that it's not a good idea. That it will tank the economy. That it is unconstitutional. That it will be the largest expansion of the federal government evah. That it will ration care. That it will drastically reduce our freedoms. But I'm starting to think that, get-this, they don't care. Or maybe they just don't know. Either way, we should call them and let them know.
202-224-3121. go.

The Lies of Congress

The CBO gets its hands on a copy of the Senate health care bill today and I expect its scoring of it will be well under a trillion. With the CBO in Obama's hip-pocket, the massive shell game being played (one that would send any of us to prison were we to do the same with our taxes) and these new compromises, it's not hard to understand that on paper Obama's bill will be laughably "deficit neutral".

But when one considers that the taxation to pay for this usurpation of freedom starts now (three years before the "benefits" kick in), that the compromise reached by dems (which is a faster track to single payer than the public option) requires certain folks to "buy-in" to Medicare and that there will be annual limits (i.e. rationing), it's no wonder that the score will appear low.

But don't believe the lie. When you have a government that, in order to sell you something, grades tax revenue statically instead of dynamically, you know that they have something to hide.

Congress, we know what you're doing. Now it's time to stop.

So, if we're not allowed to show dissent on AGW, what about Obamacare?
nope

Doubling Down

At a time when socialist AGW alarmists should be mum after having just been outed by the climategate emails, they are doubling down on the fraud. Take the article from the leftists at the Politico for example. The article briefly explains that Saudi Arabia has called for an investigation into the climategate emails as they are no longer confident in the science behind AGW. But, perhaps to comfort their their psyches or those of their automaton droid readership, the Politico felt the need to include a statement from the very unbiased chairperson of the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that said that the emails provided "no basis" for questioning the science.
But the media aren't the only ones getting in on the action. Our own taxpayer funded EPA is officially prepared to declare CO2 harmful to the health of humans today. And even the UN Climate Czar is trying to use the Jedi mind trick to make climategate go away. In his opening statement in Copenhagen, he downplays climategate's importance.

The ironic thing about all of this is that had climategate been the small matter that the alarmists want you to believe, they wouldn't be trying to convince you of its unimportance.

The Importance of Climategate

MRC: A fortnight has passed and no mention of climategate by the big, biased three.
"maybe they just don't know"

UPDATE: NBC finally mentions climategate with caveat after caveat.
What Bias?

The reluctance of the national media to report on climategate in no way indicates that the story is unimportant but, rather, that it is of utter importance; And they know it. The media's willingness to be completely complicent to every aspect of Obama's agenda (perhaps because it fits their own) has completely blinded them to the truth or, worse, they know and understand the truth and simply refusing to report it. This is why it is up to us to continue talking and writing about it. The mere fact that the AGW theory fits so well with the typical progressive's agenda should be enough to raise red flags for any non-kool-aid drinker. But when money trails are followed, scientists are found to be frauds and when virtually all raw data shows that our planet has been cooling since 1998, it becomes, at least, very reasonable to be skeptical of the entire theory. And if it becomes known by the public at large that "rich" countries like the US aren't actually destroying the planet, then the whole game changes.

Lefty Nuttiness

Thank you, Parcbench.com, for bringing us this little gem. The "great" Senator Sheldon Whitehouse says that in the 8 years of the Bush presidency, he doesn't ever recall seeing Bush portrayed as Hitler. After you recover from the utter shock of the blatant ignorance of this insane statement, you'll realize that it's really comedic gold. It's not only hilarious in its blissful naivete, but its hard proof that fringe Senators like him have NO CLUE what's going on with the American People. I guess he's never seen these. As an aside, do you see how much more vicious and vulgar the leftwing-nut signs are? I'm just sayin...
