I find the pathetic boycott the advertisers of the Glenn Beck show incredibly ironic. Color of Change, the group responsible for the boycott, was founded by green-jobs czar Van Jones, who describes himself as a communist. One of those rare communists who understands the free enterprise system enough to propose a boycott of the advertisers. He believes communism is the ideal system of government yet takes advantage of a freedom exclusive to capitalism--the boycott--to prove it. What, exactly, is his motivation?

Remembering Kennedy
from a 1990 GQ article:

"The Kennedy brothers always perpetuated their own glorious images, but over the years the last brother has built an image—not glorious at all—of his very own. For his hard public drinking, his obsessive public womanizing and his frequent boorishness, he has become a late-century legend, Teddy the Terrible, the Kennedy Untrammeled. In Washington, it sometimes seems as if everyone knows someone who has slept with Kennedy, been invited to sleep with Kennedy, seen Kennedy drunk, been insulted by Kennedy. At Desirée, a private Georgetown club where well-heeled fat men mingle with society brats and party girls, Kennedy is known as a thrice-a-month habitué and remembered by at least one fellow customer for the time he made a scene with his overenthusiasm for a runway model during a club fashion show."

From the Vanderbilt University website:

The controversy over President Obama's birth certificate will not go away as long as he refuses to release sealed records, including the original birth certificate, according to Carol Swain, professor of political science and law at Vanderbilt University.

"I believe that the president should end the speculation by being transparent about all aspects of his background," Swain said. "In fact, it can be argued that the president belongs to the people and to scholars, biographers and others who are entitled to know every aspect of his past. Only great men can ascend to this height, and their lives should be examined and studied for the lessons they offer."

Swain said that what is posted online for the president is a certificate of live birth. "It is the failure to release the long form that keeps suspicion alive," she said. Swain noted that she strongly disagrees with those who want to criticize Americans, including journalist Lou Dobbs, who continue to raise the issue.

Other sealed records that Swain has called for the president to release include those pertaining to his education, foreign travel and state legislative business.

Let's Combat the Madness

Apparently the new self-proclaimed communist 'green-czar' isn't too happy with the fact that Glenn Beck is on to him. Recently he got some of his lapdog bloggers to start a boycott campaign against Glenn's advertisers and to no one's surprise, the bully politics has had an affect. Here are a few of the culprits:

Wal-Mart? CVS? Best Buy?
Say it ain't so!

What can you do? If you've got some spare time, send an email to the advertisers that have dropped Glenn and tell them that you will not be supporting them until they publicly announce that they will be advertising with Glenn again. You can fin a list of advertisers here (it's the list on the left).

Folks, we've got the left in a full-fledged panick. Let's keep the pressure on!

Health Care: The Wrong Argument

It has been so good to see regular Americans standing up for freedom in recent weeks. With the unrelenting effort of so many concerned citizens, we've seen an out of control federal government, accustomed to advancing its agenda by obliterating any opposition by any means available, reduced to whining brats complaining about "angry mobs" and having to actually read bills. How are they supposed to get any work done when those pesky constituents keep bothering them with their opinions? And elected officials aren't the only ones getting in on this tantrum; the media have abandoned investigatory journalism for administration talking points. All this is strong evidence that it's working. We're getting to them.
But while logic and facts, squarely in our favor, are making a positive difference, I believe that it is dangerous to argue such an important point of legislation and never mention principle. Watch any newscast on any channel (regardless of political bent) and you will hear something like "...but Republicans say it will be too expensive and will lead to single payer." Notice, the Constitution is never mentioned. This is a bigger problem than one might perceive. Because when laws can be passed without regard for guarunteed, individual freedoms but, rather, solely because of popular, public sentiment, the door is open for the majority to oppress the minority via the Federal government. Our founders understood this and had the forsight to write down the things that the federal government couldn't do to us. But somwhere along the line we forgot this simple principle. Had we been following the letter of the constitution since we became a nation instead of attempting to reinterpret it, twist it or ignore it, any discussion of government-run health care would be so far off the table, it would be laughable.
The first question should never be "how much will it cost?" or "do we really need it?" or even "what do the polls say?" (although, all of these are important questions). But, rather, the first question should always be "Is it constitutional?"

The Libs are Panicked

Keep the Pressure On

For the third day in a row the deperate libs are defining hypocrisy. In this case, the same libs that praise government-funded agitators such as ACORN claim (with no substantiation, of course) that the town hall grass-roots movement is funded by health insurance companies worried that their profits will be cut. The dangerous mix of arrogance and ignorance of the federal government is truly remarkable.

Wake a sleeping giant and then insult him. Good call.

Gaining Ground

I know this sounds crazy but maybe, just maybe, the huge role that the government already plays in Health care caused the current problem.
Youtube videos have surfaced of concerned citizens standing up against more big government in their lives. Keep up the good work!

LOL. No, seriously. LOL.
What Bias?

1% > 95%

That's right. The richest 1% of Americans pay more in taxes than the poorest 95%. Furthermore, the Bush tax cut expiration is looming and Obama and many in congress are suggesting that we raise taxes on this 1% to pay for health care. This begs the question: how much is their "fair share?" Yeah, we're not socialist (snicker).
