I'm right there with you, lady.

Time to Call Your Rep

The Blue Dogs have caved and now it's time for us to act. First of all, if you haven't signed up for the Washington D.C. tea party on September 12th, do so here. If you haven't already planned to go, do it now. It looks like, although the democrats have an agreement in principle, there will be no voting until late September or October. This means that the Tea Party will take place before the vote. We must use this as an opportunity to show them how we feel about more overreach by the federal government. Secondly, call your representative and politely tell them to vote no on any new spending increases including any form of health care. This is especially true if you live in an area represented by one of the Blue Dog democrats (see the map above and the list below). Let's stop the fundamental transformation of our country now!

Define Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy is defined as someone's actions or feelings contradicting their words. For an example, one must need look no further than the White House. The following article contains a transcript of a 2004 interview with Obama where--get this--he complains that Bush's bills were being rushed through without sufficient time to read them (smirk. snicker. LOL. guffaw.) You can't make this stuff up:

And in an unrelated story, have we at PRN mentioned that Gerald Walpin isn't going quietly?

Crisis averted...for now

Tea Time Again

On top of unprecedented control over the private sector, the bailout of countless companies, the diminshing of the autonomy of the states, the atrocious Omnibus spending bill, the pork-laiden "stimulus" package that (A) was the largest spending bill in the history of the United States (B) deepened the recession and (C) no one read, the unfathomably massive budget which is leading to a seemingly insurmountable debt, the firing of CEOs, tax increases on the job-providers, the blatant disregard for the constitution, and the all out assault on the freedom that makes this country great, the Obama administration and many in the power-hungry legislature are eager to involve themselves even more heavily in our lives by doing away with private health care and taxing companies under the guise of "cap and trade". Let's not let them. Let's peacefully march on Washington on 9/12/2009.

GLOBAL WARMING ALERT!!!

The Al Gore effect in full swing in his home town as Nashville and ten other southern cities break low temperature records:

Macon, GA: 56 degrees (Beat old record by 9 degrees)
Columbus, GA: 61 (Beat old record by 6 degrees)
Nashville, TN: 58 (previous record recorded in 1877)
Tallahassee, FL: 60 (Beat old record by 7 degrees!)

Well, here it is folks.  It's official.  According to Investor's Business Daily, the House health care bill on page 16 makes it ILLEGAL for insurance companies to issue individual private medical insurance.

http://www.ibdeditorials.com/IBDArticles.aspx?id=332548165656854

When we first saw the paragraph Tuesday, just after the 1,018-page document was released, we thought we surely must be misreading it. So we sought help from the House Ways and Means Committee.

It turns out we were right: The provision would indeed outlaw individual private coverage. Under the Orwellian header of "Protecting The Choice To Keep Current Coverage," the "Limitation On New Enrollment" section of the bill clearly states:

"Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day" of the year the legislation becomes law.

So we can all keep our coverage, just as promised — with, of course, exceptions: Those who currently have private individual coverage won't be able to change it. Nor will those who leave a company to work for themselves be free to buy individual plans from private carriers.

It's time to call your congressman.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Pretty soon, Gibbs is going to get tired of looking like a buffoon and quit his job. It's pathetic that he's put himself in a position of having to be this administration's mouthpiece.
