Why I Won't Be Voting For Barack Obama

In this election season, there are many important issues to consider before voting. However, there is one issue that has struck my heart and I feel obligated to implore you to research and do your homework before voting:

Please consider Barack Obama's votes on "Live Birth Abortion" and the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Live birth abortion is a practice that allows babies who have been fully birthed to die outside the womb. These babies are refused medical care and are often left in places like supply closets until they die.

Here is a video with a nurse describing the procedure as well as Barack Obama's votes on the issue:

The video features Jill Stanek, a registered nurse who experienced the atrocities of live birth abortion first hand and has since gone on to testify in front of both the IL state legislature and the US Senate. As a result of her experiences, she has become an outspoken voice for the pro-life community.

If you need another source, try the Washington Times:

Or the Associated Press
http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5h21ZbzgPbTVRftcJPT5vkHkonY5QD93OGKAG0

According to the AP, "In the Illinois Senate, Obama opposed legislative efforts in 2001, 2002 and 2003 to give legal protections to any aborted fetus that showed signs of life. The 2003 measure was virtually identical to a bill President Bush signed into law in 2002 that unanimously passed the U.S. Senate."

Unanimously passed the US Senate?? Yes, even Hillary Clinton, Chris Dodd, and Barney Frank approved the bill. As a matter of fact, even abortion rights groups such as the NARAL stated at the time that they had no opposition to this bill (I can send you pdfs of multiple news articles backing this up).

Obama gives a lot of excuses on why he didn't vote "yes" on legislation to ban live birth abortion, but not a single one of his excuses have the gravity to justify the death of even one of these babies.
Even so, Obama makes the argument that the language in the bill would have given cause to overturn Roe v. Wade, but what he doesn't explain is that he was the Chair of the IL Health and Human Services Committee, and would have had the opportunity to clarify the language in the bill, but he did not.

Here is Obama's voting history on this issue as a member of the IL state legislature:

This horrible practice, which was unanimously banned by the US Senate, would have been allowed if Barack Obama had gotten his way. I will not tell you who I think you should vote for. On the other hand, I will plead with you not to vote for Obama if for no other reason than his multiple votes refusing to ban this atrocious procedure.

Thank you, and please weigh this heavily before you vote.
